The 2026 Student Apathy Conference, by Power of ICU, will be held Thursday and Friday, September 24-25, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee, for district, school, and classroom educators looking to wage war on student apathy!

Learn from the Apathy Expert, Danny Hill! Danny is a nationally respected authority on student apathy and school culture and has presented to over a million educators across the United States. He is a career educator and the author of bestsellers Power of ICU, Brick House, Grade Cleanse, and Game of School.

Keynote and breakout sessions will provide practical strategies, from over a dozen veteran educators, to combat apathy and create a school culture where every student completes every assignment! Our goal is to provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere for you and your team to get motivated and begin (or continue) an action plan that defeats student apathy.

  • Re-think status quo norms that waste time/energy and sync everything with a main purpose
  • Learn from practitioners who have defeated student apathy at their schools, making assignment completion the norm
  • Discover how to implement a team of academic lifeguards
  • Gather example layers of support and multiple ways to build an academic support infrastructure
  • Explore the litmus tests for quality assignments and healthy grading
  • Engage and motivate your staff for the upcoming school year
